Games Day 2016

The DSOBA Games Day this year will be held on October 16th.  Our venue has shifted from the school field to the basketball courts, the tennis courts and the indoor gym.  The format will be slightly different from previous years as we will have game booths as a new addition to the Games Day activities.  There still will be obstacle races and other racing competitions for the children along with their parents.

A sumptuous lunch consisting of all sorts of BBQ items and a delicious buffet will be served for your enjoyment.  Please join us with your family and experience this new exciting Games Day format.

Poolside Party 2016

Dear Brothers and Friends of DSOBA,

Summer is here and the incredibly fun and exciting 2016 DSOBA Annual Poolside Party will take place on Sunday, 28th of August from 1pm to 5pm, at the DBS Outdoor Swimming Pool.

There will be a sumptuous buffet and gourmet BBQ luncheon to curb your appetite then there will be the individual and team swimming competitions and water games for different age groups.  Prizes and certificates will be awarded to all the winners. Children will receive water toys as gifts when they enter the party. So please bring your family and friends to enjoy a day of great fun before school starts!    Pre-paid registration can be made with Evonika or Karen by email to evonika@dsoba.org / karen@dsoba.org or by fax 2761 0793. DSOBA AGM 2016 – Agenda Updated

Dear Members,

Updated Agenda and Proxy Form of the AGM

Up to 7th June 2016 5:00pm, we have received nomination of only one member, namely Alfred Leung (Class of 1989), to fill the vacated offices of the General Committee.

The following current General Committee members have also put forward themselves for re-election.

DSOBA AGM 2016 – Reschedule

Dear Members,

Change of Date of the Annual General Meeting

It has come to our attention that some members may not have received the notice of our Annual General Meeting (AGM) we previously sent on 19 April 2016. We have therefore decided to postpone the AGM to 21 June 2016.

We attach the new notice of AGM, Nomination Form, Dinner Notice and Reply Slip, Proxy Form and Auditor’s Report. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please kindly note that given the change of the date of the AGM, all previous notice and forms attached to the last notice is no longer valid. Please use the attached forms / reply slips for the postponed AGM.

Please be informed that the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of Diocesan School Old Boys’ Association Ltd. (“DSOBA”) will be held at The Chinese Club, The Chinese Club Building, 8/F., 22 Connaught Road, Hong Kong on Tuesday, 21 June 2016 at 7:00 pm, to consider the following matters:

1. To receive and consider the Report of the General Committee.

2. To receive and consider the Income & Expenditure Account and the Balance Sheet of DSOBA for the year ended 31 December 2015 and the Auditor’s Report in connection with the same.

3. To elect up to six (6) members to fill the vacated offices of the General Committee.

Dinner Talk with DBS Dean of Students Ms. Catherine Wong and DBSPD Deputy Headteacher-Designate Ms. Natalie Ng

Dear Fellow Old Boys,

DSOBA is extremely honored and privileged to have Ms. Catherine Wong and Ms. Natalie Ng as our speakers for the upcoming dinner forum. Ms. Catherine Wong is the Dean of Students of Diocesan Boys’ School and Ms. Natalie Ng is the Deputy Headteacher-Designate of Diocesan Boys’ School Primary Division. They will be sharing with you their insights and knowledge of “Life Planning, Culture and Student Support”.  Mr. Ronnie Cheng, Headmaster of DBS and Ms. Phyllis Lo, Headteacher of DBSPD will also grace us with their presence that evening.
